Theophilus Ugbedeojo Ejeh

The Servant of Yahweh in Isaiah 52:13-53:12

A Historical Critical and Afro-Cultural Hermeneutical Analysis with the Igalas of Nigeria in View

Reihe: Bibelstudien, Band 6, 2012, broschiert, 296 Seiten

ISBN: 978-3-643-90164-4

The author of this dissertation presents us with a cultural hermeneutical work. He toes the line of many African Theologians who have, since the 70ties and 80ties, tried to develop a postcolonial and specific African Theology. This work, therefore, which has not only given a historical analysis, but also an African oriented interpretation of the Fourth Servant Song of Isaiah, can be considered to be a successful and important contribution to the self amancipating African Theology of our time.
